Privacy & POPIA Notice

Saltus Holdings Africa Pty Ltd (registration 2013/178000/07, VAT 4950273450) ("we", "us") is the Responsible Party under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 ("POPIA"). This notice explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the rights you have as a data subject.

1. Information we collect

  • Contact details you submit: name, email, phone, company, delivery site.
  • Quote and order data: product configuration, quantities, delivery address, order history.
  • Account data: sign-in email, authentication metadata, loyalty balance and transactions.
  • Technical data: aggregated, cookieless analytics (Plausible) — IP address is not stored.

2. Why we process it

  • To prepare, deliver and invoice your quote (contract).
  • To operate your loyalty account and referral rewards (contract).
  • To send transactional messages about your quote or account (legitimate interest).
  • To comply with tax, accounting and consumer-protection law (legal obligation).

3. Sharing

We share personal information only with operators acting on our behalf: our cloud hosting and authentication provider, our email delivery provider, and our accounting/logistics partners. All operators are contractually bound to POPIA-equivalent safeguards.

4. Cross-border transfers

Some operators host data outside South Africa. We only use operators subject to laws that provide adequate protection, or bound by contractual safeguards permitted under section 72 of POPIA.

5. Retention

Quote and order records are retained for 5 years to comply with tax law. Account and loyalty records are retained while your account is active and for 12 months after closure.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; object to processing; or withdraw consent, by writing to info@saltuspoles.co.za. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

7. Security

We take generally accepted technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls, and least-privilege administration.
