The material story

Grown, not smelted.

Saltus poles are wound from continuous glass fibre with a hemp-bast reinforcement layer, set in a UV-stable resin matrix. The result is a pole that weighs a fraction of steel, never rusts, doesn't rot, and passes UL94 flammability testing at V-0.

Current development with mining-sector partners extends the composite to include recycled plastic and mining waste, further reducing reliance on virgin material.
